Today marks day one of Horizon’s last spirit week of the school year. This, of course, is Meme Day, where students dressed up as popular memes. All pictures are accompanied by their inspiration. Few students dressed up for today, likely due to the lack of advertisement and excitement concerning this day.

Tomorrow’s fun spirit day is Red, White, and Blue Day, where the students can (and should) wear their patriotic gear with honor!

Hello! I am Vai (xey/they/she), a senior and this will be my third (and last) year working with The Profile. When I am not here, I am either doing makeup, crocheting, or working. I am an accepting person and love to learn about different people and their backgrounds.

Ayla Wize, Director of Photo and Media and Director of Audio Content and Media

This is Ayla’s third and final year in the Journalism department. Specializing in investigative journalism, Ayla researches cults, unidentified bodies, internet mysteries, and all things unexplained. This year they hope to get a scholarship based upon their writing, and hope to not gain any new Cease and Desist letters. They’re interested in bones, D&D, murder mysteries, and houseplants. They also hope to one day become an investigative journalist or Detective- either way, they will gain notoriety for their work.

Grace Hilliard, Assistant copy editor and Marketing and Social Media Director

This is Grace’s first year in journalism- and only year, as they graduate in May! Grace loves writing, art, and storytelling, and she hopes to get some a career in some kind of storytelling field (the dream would be a graphic novelist!). Beyond journalism, they do Battle of the Books and Theater, where they delight in being able to connect with others and discuss, tell, and act stories. In her free time she enjoys drawing, reading, listening to music, playing Minecraft, and watching animated shows.
