The Profile’s Fall Article Competition
Hello, writers! We at The Profile strive to connect our peers with everything that is happening within our community, and to effectively do that, we would like to hear what you think is important.
We are hosting an article competition, open to the entire student body, to allow one student to demonstrate their writing skills to the school and to connect us more with the student body. All that participants must do is write an article about the following prompt: How do you see the world?
Once your article is complete you can submit it to the form below for a chance at:
- Getting featured on The Profile’s website as a guest writer
- Winning a monetary reward!
Below are some guidelines for creating your article:
- The word limit is 1000 words. There is no minimum amount of words, but keep in mind we are looking for an article, not a few sentences. Don’t be afraid to elaborate on your thinking! 🙂
- Please keep the article in line with district guidelines (no offensive language, graphic descriptions, defamation, or political statements). This form will be collecting emails and we will take action if something deliberately violates the guidelines.
- This is not to say you cannot write about a “sensitive” subject. As long as it does not fall into the restricted categories above it is acceptable.
- Should your article be selected it will be published to The Profile’s website, which is a public site that can be viewed by anyone with the link. Participants must be okay with their work being displayed on a public scale.
The deadline for this competition is October 2nd at 11:59 pm. The winner will be announced during the homecoming assembly.
Best of luck, and have fun writing!
