Now that school has started, many of us have prioritized school work over our mental, physical, and emotional health. On top of this, sports, clubs, and work are integrated into our daily lives, which makes it harder to have healthy lifestyles. It’s important to learn to take care of ourselves and have healthy habits.

Here are some steps to help create the best version of yourself:

Step 1: Create Your Goals and Vision

This involves the process of writing down or creating vision boards of what you want and how you’re going to achieve it. For example, buying a board where you add pictures of goals you want and affirmations. Another way to do this would be to simply write down a bullet list of these goals and steps to go forward. Overall, envisioning your master plan will help you create healthy habits.

Step 2: Take Care of Your Mental Health

Now that you’ve established your master vision, it is time to focus on what is good and bad for your mental health. Check up on yourself and ask yourself how you feel. Yes, it can be difficult, to be honest with yourself, but there are a few ways to manage this stress. You could meditate and find ways to calm your thoughts and the chaos in your mind, as well as journal every morning and night and write down personal feelings. Finally, find people who make you happy and make you a better person. This one is extremely important because if we’re surrounded by people who put us down and don’t encourage us to become the best and be positive, then we’re hurting ourselves more. So, take the time to stop and evaluate your mental health and give yourself the time of day to do things that make you happy.

Step 3: Monitoring School Workload

School has finally started, homework has burdened you, and you’re constantly tired because you get little to no sleep. All of these things affect the way you act and feel during the day. They set the mood for your mornings and evenings. And because of this, it is important to learn how to manage it. Part of being a successful student is learning to put yourself first above all things. School is important and you should value it, but giving yourself time is even more important. Try to stay productive at school at all times. This allows you to have more free time after school and it uses the eight hours you’re at school to your advantage. Second, limit time on your phone when finishing assignments. This helps you stay more productive and manages your time more efficiently. This spare time could also help with working towards your goals after school.

Step 4: Have a Set Consistent Routine

Having a routine you like and will follow daily is essential for your self-improvement journey. With this, you should create simple steps that are easy to do on a day-to-day basis. Habits that are easy to adapt to will allow you to have more discipline in the long run. This can be as easy as making your bed every morning or not looking at your phone the moment you wake up. Make it fun and make it personal to you!

Step 5: Reward Yourself

Life is complicated and very messy. There are times when you genuinely feel like giving up and are so tired of everything. But learning to acknowledge the fact that you’re still trying to better improve yourself shows a lot and deserves recognition. Treat yourself to something you’ve always wanted or enjoyed. This could range anywhere from new clothing to your favorite ice cream place! Either way, be proud of yourself and give yourself a treat. This can also create more motivation toward reaching those goals in your master vision.

Step 6: Be Aware of Your Surroundings

An important step I think deserves to be taken more seriously is the idea of being more aware of the people you surround yourself with. If you keep negative people in your life they’ll only bring you down and discourage the improvement/goals you’ve made. Get rid of people and behaviors that don’t align with your goals and master vision. You are a priority above anyone else and being able to identify this is key.

Conclusion:

To wrap up, I just wanted to say that each person has the opportunity to attract what they want. It is really important to value time for yourself and to focus on the little things that make you the happiest. And even if life is an uphill battle right now, I hope this will guide you in the right direction.
