On Monday, January 24, Horizon started their first ever Women’s Empowerment Club! Everyone was free to attend and students who started the club, juniors Samantha Saiki and Leyla Castillo, described outlines for what they hoped to accomplish with the club and asked for other members to give their ideas and input. It was established that the club will meet two times a month and will discuss everything from patriarchy in society to ways to make Horizon more inclusive and fair to all genders.
