February is the month of new movies. Blockbuster movies are coming out nearly every week in the month of February. The Outfit, Dog, Uncharted, Jacka** Forever, and Marry Me are all coming out next month. A common occurrence that has been happening with movies coming out in February is that a lot of the directors are making their directorial debut. We will see a lot of new directors which will be amazing to see. Maybe this month, we’ll find out who’s the next Steven Speilburg. This article includes a list and description of some of the movies coming out soon. 

 

The Outfit  

The Outfit is an upcoming American Crime Drama directed by Graham Moore which will be his directorial debut. The screenplay is by both Moore and Johnathan McClain. The film will star Zoey Deutch, Dylan O’Brien, Johnny Flynn, and Mark Rylance. As of now it is set to release on February 25, 2022 by Focus Features. The plot surrounds Leonard who is an English tailor who used to craft suits on London’s World Famous Savile Row. After he goes through a personal tragedy he finds himself in Chicago, where he is operating a small tailor shop in a not so great part of town. He makes beautiful and extravagant clothing but only for the people around town who can afford them AKA a family of vicious gangsters. He must outwit the dangerous group of mobsters to survive one fateful night. 

 

Dog 

Dog is an upcoming American Comedy Film directed by Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin, both making their directorial debuts. The screenplay is by both Carolin and Brett Rodriguez. The film will star Tatum, Jane Adams, Kevin Nash, Ethan Suplee, Bill Burr, among others. The film will be released on February 18, 2022 by United Artists Releasing. The plot surrounds the U.S. Army Ranger Briggs (Tatum) who is tasked with bringing Lulu, a military working dog, down the Pacific Coast from Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington to Nogales, Arizona in time to attend her handler’s funeral. Along the road trip, they find that they drive each other completely crazy, break a handful of laws, and sometimes even come close to death. 

 

Jacka** Forever 

Jacka** Forever is an Upcoming American reality comedy film directed by Jeff Tremaine. This will be the fifth overall installment of the Jacka** film series. It will also be the first film in the series to not feature a guest appearance by Rip Taylor, who died in 2019. The film is set to star Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Cris Pontius, Wee Man, Dave England, Preston Lacy, and Danger Ehren. A variety of celebrity guests will also appear in the movie such as Machine Gun Kelly, Tyler, the Creator, Tony Hawk, etc. The film will be released on February 4, 2022 by Paramount Pictures. Jacka** Forever will show the whole gang back together to return for another round of hilarious displays of stunts and comedy, often getting injured while doing it. 

 

Uncharted 

Uncharted is an Upcoming American action-adventure film directed by Ruben Fleischer. Based on a video game series developed by Naughty Dog, the film stars Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, and Mark Whalburg as his mentor Victor Sullivan, as well as Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle, and Antonio Banderas. The film first entered development in 2008, but after some complications during the production process and the various filmmakers attached at different points such as directors, David O. Russel, Dan Trachtenberg, Neil Burger, Seth Gorden, etc caused many problems. But many years later they were finally able to have a stable cast and crew able to go into production. The film is set to be released on February 18, 2022. The plot surrounds Nathan Drake and his partner Victor Sullivan who go in a dangerous pursuit of the “greatest treasure never found” while also tracking clues that may lead to Drake’s long lost brother. On their hunt they uncover numerous truths behind mythical treasures and lost cities, resulting in clashes between rival hunters and thieves.

 

Marry Me 

Marry Me is an upcoming romantic musical comedy-drama film directed by Kat Coiro. The screenplay is by John Rogers, Tami Sagher, and Harper Dill. The film is based on the comic, Marry Me, which was originally released as a webcomic. 

The film is set to star Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, Maluma, John Bradley, and Sarah Silverman. It is scheduled to be released on February 11, 2022 by Universal Pictures, in addition it will also stream on Peacock the same day. The plot surrounds Kat Valdez

 (Lopez), who is a sensational Latin pop star, who is about to get married before an audience of her loyal fans. However, she learns seconds before the ceremony about her fiance’s cheating ways and has a meltdown on stage. In a moment of insanity, Kat locks eyes with a total stranger in the crowd and marries him on the spot. As people try to separate the newlyweds, they soon decide that they want to try and make things work even though they are from completely different walks of life.

 

All these movies are coming out sometime in February. They seem like excellent movies and they all have star studded casts. I would highly recommend seeing them in the theaters as they are expected to have high box offices. Which movie would you want to see?
