“Welcome Back, Pumpkin” is the first thing you see when you open the Starbucks website. What does this mean? Well, it means that PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte) lovers can finally sit back and enjoy their favorite seasonal beverages.  


With the Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) being back, many are getting into the cozy fall vibes. Afterall, fall is one of the most hyped up seasons each year. Its flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cream remind indulgers of wispy autumn air. It gives a hint of spice, hence the name, along with a classic fall pumpkin taste. 


PSLs can be served hot or iced and have an eloquent and aesthetic finish of whipped cream and pumpkin spice topping.


In addition to the legendary latte, Starbucks has brought in a brand new fall drink. The Apple Crisp Macchiato is a fall-take on the immensely popular Caramel Macchiato. Many eagerly waited until the 24th of August to try this new taste. 


The Apple Crisp Macchiato can also be served over ice or hot. It consists of a generous layer of the Apple Crisp Syrup at the bottom of the cup with 2% milk, espresso shots, and more syrup drizzled at the top. 


An Insider review by lifestyle reporter Anneta Konstantinides stated that once she mixed her iced macchiato with a straw, “The apple flavor came through nicely, although it was more subtle than I had expected, and I could taste the hints of cinnamon.”


And as for the hot version, Konstantinides thought, “The hot Apple Crisp Macchiato tasted really nice and crisp. The apple flavor came through much stronger than it did in the iced version, and the warm cinnamon notes made every sip so comforting. And I absolutely loved the foam on top with the caramelized-spiced apple drizzle. It sounds like it might make the drink too sweet, but the flavors were well-balanced. I licked my cap clean to get every last drop of it.” She also shared that it was less-sweet than the PSL, which provided a better option for a new daily coffee order for fall!


Personally, I really enjoyed the iced Apple Crisp Macchiato. It had a very unique flavor that definitely feels like fall. I love the balance between espresso, apple, and cinnamon flavors. The milk and ice add a calamity to the strong flavors listed above. I am very excited to drink the hot version when the weather gets cooler!


The Pumpkin Spice flavor is incorporated into a frappuccino as well! Customers can order Pumpkin Spice Frappuccinos if they are looking for something to cool them down. 


Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is the new obsession at Starbucks. Ever since 2015, the coffee company has had much success with its cold brew coffee for a leaner and fresher coffee taste that is pleasantly bitter. This pure drink has become a hit when topped off with the Pumpkin Cream Cold Foam; a fall take on vanilla sweet cream cold foam. The cold foam is essentially pumpkin flavored thick/sweet cream blended to be an airy delight!


Pumpkin Scone, Pumpkin Bread (year-round), and the Fox Cake Pops are the featured fall treats for food-lovers! The newly added Fox Cake Pop has the same filling as the Starbucks classic, birthday cake pop, just with a different exterior. They put the spotlight on the pumpkin theme for Starbucks’ fall season. 


After a long wait and much anticipation, many can finally wear their “Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice” shirts as Starbucks opens the doors to fall with their seasonal items!
