It is winter sports time for Horizon High School, here’s a breakdown of the requirements you will need to meet in order to be eligible to play.  

 

Grades: 

You are allowed 2 F’s or 3 D’s. Grades are checked every Thursday at 4 pm and the next week’s eligibility will be solely based on the grades evaluated then.

Attendance: 

You have to attend a certain amount of practices, and miss NO games in order to be eligible for the letter (dependent on the sport). You must be at school on the day of the game too participate. 

Behavioral: 

The punishments based on at school behavioral issues is at the discretion of the coach.

Boys Basketball: 

Tryouts are on November 18, 19 & 20, Upperclassmen 3:30 -5:00, Underclassmen 5:00 – 6:30.

Girls Basketball: 

Tryouts are on November 18,19, and 20th at 4:30-6:30 pm.

Girls Swimming: 

There are no tryouts for girls swim, although preseason is in full force until November 18th. 

The coach is Coach Elizabeth Sedalnick ([email protected]), Coach White, and the dryland coach is Mrs. Ingram.

Girls Diving:

There are no tryouts for girls diving, although preseason is in full force until November 18th.
