For years, people have been trying to uncover the mysteries of the strange spot Area 51. What could the government possibly be hiding? Monsters? The underworld? Possibly, aliens? We may never fully know, but we have enough conspiracies theories to keep us interested and at bay. 

This mysterious spot is located somewhere in Nevada. It was created during the Cold War between the US and the Soviet Union in order to test aircrafts. But why was this place to become such a strong topic? 

For years, individuals have had their suspicions. We began to wonder out of this world ideas, including the hiding of aliens and UFOs. These theories gained support in the 1980s when a man who claimed to work in the facility said that he witnessed the government examining alien spacecraft. This skyrocketed the conspiracy theories we read today. 

People have come up with many theories. One big one is the conspiracy of aliens. Many believe that the government is holding aliens hostage and are conducting autopsies on deceased ones every day. They also believe that those who try to uncover the strange conspiracy would be confronted by government officials, also known as the Men in Black. 

The government tried to tell the public that these theories were absurd and untrue, but theorists dismissed the public announcement. They said that they had no research on extraterrestrial life, especially aliens.  

On September 20th, 2019 thousands of people showed up to the Area 51 raid. The hot facebook page that started out as a joke on Reddit and other social media platforms, turned into a real life event. They all had a saying they were holding onto, the saying being “let’s see them, aliens”. Sadly, they were very disappointed after not seeing them aliens. They actually met the cops and were escorted out of Area 51. 

One other big conspiracy is the theory of creating new spacecraft from the elements of alien spacecraft. However, many people believe that the type of technology aliens used are out of this world, and impossible for humans to recreate such inventions.

They believe that UFOs float on anti-gravity. Many believe that scientists have been able to create such an element, but only for seconds at a time. However, we have no evidence to prove this. 

During the Cold War, the U.S. Air Force created the U-2 which could fly up to 70,000 feet. Many believe that this may be the so-called “UFOs” we have been seeing. This is what the government claims as well. However, all though this may be true, many refuse to believe that it is that simple. 

Area 51 is going to continue to be a question in the back of our minds. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll figure it out. But for now, we just have to watch the stars  and see for ourselves.
