The Profile’s Mission Statement

Our mission is to give the Horizon community stories that genuinely matter. The kind that informs, connects, and sparks conversation. We aim to cover our school with honesty, curiosity, and intention, digging into the topics students care about and live every day. By holding ourselves to high standards and seeking out meaningful perspectives, we work to create a paper that helps our readers understand their world a little better.

The Horizon Profile is a student-run newspaper designed to inform the Horizon community of news, issues and other items of interest. The Profile serves as an open forum to express ideas and opinions.

Ideas stated in the editorials page and personal editorial columns are not necessarily shared by the newspaper staff, faculty or administration. The opinions section reflects views of the staff members based on research and reporting.

The newspaper class publishes The Profile each month during the school year.
