The week of 2/9 to 2/14, the week before Horizon’s mid-winter break, is our Hawk Love and Wish week. The week functions similar to any spirit week, except with many charities and whatnot set up for kids with the Make A Wish foundation. Wednesday, the theme for outfits was “Jersey Day,” so many students have come to school wearing their favorite sports team. Many teachers and students alike are wearing Broncos jerseys, but it also wasn’t uncommon to see students part of sports teams wearing their own jerseys. It also was very frequented to see students with jerseys that belonged to other Colorado teams, whether they were for colleges or other sports besides football. Overall, the most common jerseys seen were Broncos and Avalanche jerseys due to those being some of the most popular sports in the state.
