Over the years, there have been several major celebrity feuds that have occurred. There have been feuds between Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Kanye West, Miley Cyrus, etc. Some of the feuds started from something major going down, however, a lot of them occurred because of something stupid that happened. Today I will be breaking down just a few of the most infamous celebrity feuds. 

Taylor Swift V. Kanye West: 

There has been a long-lasting feud between Taylor Swift and Kanye West. It all started when Kanye interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech at the VMA’s in 2009. In response to Kanye’s apology, Taylor penned a heartfelt song for the rapper called “Innocent,” which makes it appear as if the two have made up. However, the calm between the two didn’t last long, as old wounds opened back up in 2016. Kanye released a song called “Famous,” which revealed some crude lyrics about Taylor. Kim Kardashain then released secret recordings of a private phone call in which Swift supposedly gave approval of the lyrics. However, more recently the whole phone call was released which ultimately supported Taylors version. The feud seems to have no end in sight. 

Miley Cyrus V. Nicki Minaj:

Another famous celebrity feud that started at the VMA’s was when Nicki Minaj won the VMA for Best Hip-Hop Video in 2015. The rapper directly called out Miley during her speech saying Miley had “a lot to say about me the other day in the press.”  Another extremely famous line to come out of this speech was, “Miley, what’s good.” Nicki was referencing Miley’s comments in an interview with The New York Times, where she criticized Nicki for tweeting about the lack of representation, after her “Anaconda” video didn’t receive a nomination for Video of the Year and the VMA’s. Miley did have a response to Nicki’s comments saying, “Hey, We’re all in this industry, we all do interviews, and we all know how they manipulate.” To add even more flame to the fire, in 2019, Miley released a song called, “Cattitude,” which has a lyric in it that states, “I love you, Nicki, but I listen to Cardi.” It’s unsure whether the two are still feuding or if they’ve buried the hatchet. 

Taylor Swift V. Katy Perry:  

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry are among some of the biggest female pop stars, so it’s no wonder why they never could see eye to eye. They were good friends for many years, however, it all went south in 2014 when a fight erupted over backup dancers who left the middle of Taylors Red Tour to go work for Katy’s Prismatic Tour. A little while later, Taylor released a song called “Bad Blood,” which she later revealed was about an unnamed female artist who “basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour.” Katy then fired back with the song “Swish Swish,” which was said to be a diss on Taylor. Even though there has been a lot of tension between these two, it appears as if they have made up within the recent years. Katy extended an olive branch (Yes, she really did send her an Olive Branch) in 2018, and the feud officially ended in 2019 when Katy posted a picture of cookies in Taylor’s kitchen. Katy Perry even made a cameo in Taylor’s “You Need to Calm Down” music video, where they both hugged in a burger and fries costume. 

Overall, there will always be celebrity feuds and maybe it will be with people we never expect. If you would’ve asked me before the Taylor Swift and Kanye West feud occurred, if they would ever be feuding, I would definitely say no. Some of the people that feud with each other just don’t make very much sense. But then again you can pretty much pick a fight with anyone. Who do you think was in the right for these fights?
