Last month, Horizon’s very own Women’s Empowerment Club conducted a very successful hygiene drive right here in the lobby. So what is their next mission you ask? The “Red Dot Initiative”! The “Red Dot Initiative”, first implemented in Broomfield High School is essentially a way for all students who have periods, whether they identify as female or not, to have easy access to menstrual products. Not only will this provide comfort for those who need them, when they need them, but they will also (hopefully) empower students who menstruate to restrict the stigma that lies around the topic of periods.
