The 2022 World Cup is here! 

 

The 2022 Fifa World Cup, will kick off November 21, 2022 in Qatar. The month-long competition draws thousands of soccer fans to Qatar. If you don’t know what the World Cup is, it is a highly anticipated soccer tournament in which teams from all over the world compete. 

 

Here are the group stages:

Group A : Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands

Group B: England, Iran, USA, Wales

Group C: Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland

Group D: France, Australia, Denmark, Tunisia

Group E: Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, Japan

Group F: Belgium, Canada, Morocco, Croatia

Group G: Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon

Group H: Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, South Korea

The games will be played in eight different stadiums in five different cities. All 8 stadiums are within a 21 mile radius of Central Doha. All are linked by a metro and tram system which makes it possible to watch more than one game in a single day. The opening game will kick off at the Al Bayt in Al Khor. 

As the World Cup begins, fans are beginning to speculate who will take home the trophy. Brazil, France, Argentina, Portugal, and Spain are some of the favored teams to win the World Cup. Who do you think will win?
