Need to get away? Need a break from this crazy world? Let’s take a look at a couple of the most beautiful travel destinations of 2022. From beautiful aqua blue beaches and palm trees with sand so soft to the touch, to jungles full of various animal species and greenery so bright, to mountainous and city filled destinations. We are going to explore what it would be like to travel to Abruzzo, Italy, Anguilla, and Crete, Greece. 

Abruzzo, Italy

For many people it is always a question on whether to travel somewhere with beautiful beaches and a tropical feel? Or to travel somewhere with mountains and snowfall, but lucky for you, Abruzzo has it all. Abruzzo, Italy, is a region of Italy, which is east of Rome with an Adriatic coastline and the Apennine Mountains. National parks as well as nature reserves cover up most of the rugged interior. Abruzzo is known for its hilltop towns that date as far back as the medieval and Renaissance periods. Abruzzo has a huge abundance of amazing food and wines. The Montepulciano d’Abruzzo wine is a famous wine that originated here, and is produced with the Montepulciano grape. They offer many tourist friendly services including a walking food tour, and even culinary courses so that you are able to take some of this breathtaking cuisine home to try. Abruzzo is sometimes called the crown, because of its perfect location between different parts of Italy and being able to see a little bit of everything. It offers the beautiful Italy experience, but with much more than you would be able to see if you were to travel to the heavy tourist places such as Rome. 

Anguilla

Anguilla is a British Territory located in the Eastern Caribbean. Its crystal clear beaches range from long and sandy stretches to secluded coves that can only be reached by boat. It is known for its Big Spring Cave that offers sites of prehistoric petroglyphs, and East End Pong that is a wildlife conservation site. Anguilla is most known for its spectacular coral reefs and all public beaches. Anguilla is a highly popular tourist attraction, which means that there are many touristy things to partake in, such as sight seeing the 33 different bays and beaches that are offered here. Anguilla is home to the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world, which draws and attracts many curious sea loving individuals to this magnificent place. Many are also highly drawn to Anguilla due to all of the cave systems that lie within the cliffs that offer up close sights at the turquoise clear water and colorful fish. The best time to visit Anguilla is between May and August, due to trying to avoid the worst of the hurricane season which runs from June 1st to November 30th. 

Crete, Greece

Crete is the largest and most populous of the Green islands. It is the 88th largest island in the entire world as well as the fifth largest island in the Mediterranean sea. Many believe that just one single trip to Crete is never enough because of the never ending activities to do here. There are landmark beaches as well as Crete holding the most cultural sites in Europe. Crete is also mainly known for their cuisine. It is considered the home of the Mediterranean diet. Crete is also known for its slow way of life. Crete is a diverse and very vibrant colorful land that is home to many ancient ruins that draw in a lot of curious tourists. Crete offers a little bit of everything, from the buzzing cities and towns to the calm and tranquil beaches, you can get the best of both worlds by traveling to this amazing place. The best time to visit Crete is from mid May to June. May brings the warmer waters and the beautiful vibrant wildflowers that can be sighted all throughout the land, giving tourists that fairytale feeling.
