Donald Trump, Will He Concede?
The 2020 Election Aftermath
December 7, 2020
The 2020 Presidential Election was a nail biter for the American people, however on November 7, 2020, Joe Biden was officially crowned the winner.
Joe Biden won the election against Donald Trump with an electoral vote count of 306 to 232, needing only 270 to win. Joe Biden made his speech in Wilmington, Delaware on November 7, 2020, making a memorable speech saying “I pledge to be a president who seeks not to divide, but unify,” he said. “We have to stop treating our opponents as our enemies. They are not our enemies. They’re Americans. This is the time to heal in America.”
Joe Biden seems to be offering a more emotional approach to Americans whereas Donald Trump was more so about the numbers it seems, causing Joe Biden to be an attractive candidate to young individuals which are a majority of voters.
Since Joe Biden winning the election, current President, Donald Trump, seems to be having a hard time accepting the end results. Since election day, Trump has filed at least 32 lawsuits but has yet to win at least one.
His lawsuits claim that states have violated election laws, as he is hoping to discredit the 2020 Election. He has placed lawsuits against Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. Trump and his team have 22 cases which they have lost or withdrawn from, and 10 cases which they have yet to have heard from.
Trump claims that the election was “rigged” and had “major fraud” caused by the democrats. Trump has continued to refuse to concede to Joe Biden. On November 15, 2020, it seemed that President Trump had conceded to Biden saying, “He won because the Election was Rigged. NO VOTE WATCHERS OR OBSERVERS allowed, vote tabulated by a Radical Left privately owned company, Dominion, with a bad reputation & bum equipment that couldn’t even qualify for Texas (which I won by a lot!), the Fake & Silent Media, & more!”
However, a few hours later he took back his “concede” and tweeted, “I concede NOTHING! We have a long way to go. This was a RIGGED ELECTION!”
Trump has still yet to concede to Biden and prepare to hand over the presidency. Trump’s time is running out to undermine Joe Biden. On December 8, 2020, states will be finalizing their election results and there is no going back.
Inauguration day is on January 20, 2021 for Joe Biden. What are the American people to expect?
