Black Friday: a shopping addict’s safe haven. During the day, you enjoy your Thanksgiving meal– then at night, the sales begin.

People all over America rush to get the “biggest sales of the year”and wait outside for hours to get doorbusters.

Stores will be packed as people fight over Christmas gifts or treats for themselves. While some don’t like to join in the Black Friday events, finding that the crowds aren’t worth it, others believe it’s a great opportunity for Christmas gifts. Plus, it gives people a chance for some cheap gifts for themselves!

one of Horizon’s beloved media technicians, Cheryl Johannsen, remarks on Black Friday, stating, “I hate it– too much going on, [and] the crowds are absolutely crazy.” Cheryl is one of many who believes that Black Friday isn’t as good as it’s cracked up to be.

However, for sophomore Neveah Jude, it’s not all about the sales– but also the fun experience. “I love Black Friday! I go every year. You have great sales, but also it’s fun to go with my family, and it’s an invigorating experience,” Jude says .

So what does black Friday mean to you? What are your plans for holiday gifts? It may be a wild time, but some might find it exciting. Either way, Black Friday will always be a day full of spirit, hustle, and sales.
